El próximo enero, en el 74º cumpleaños del Starman, se emitirá una celebración para esta leyenda.

Trent Reznor, Billy Corgan y más interpretarán los éxitos y canciones para el tributo, “Una Celebración de Bowie: ¡Sólo Por Un Día!” que está programado para el 8 de enero del 2021.

Este evento ha sido organizado por el pianista de Bowie, Mike Garson quien ha supervisado las colaboraciones y el lineup del evento.

Garson dijo: "Escucharemos diferentes interpretaciones de las canciones de David; algunas con arreglos totalmente nuevos que nunca se han escuchado antes."

También protagonizarán el programa en directo Gary Oldman, Macy Gray, Perry Farrell y más. Entre ellos, al productor de Bowie, Tony Visconti y a su última banda de gira, que cuenta con Gail Ann Dorsey, Garson y otros.

A Bowie Celebration: Just for one day! brings together dozens of Bowie alumni band members spanning Bowie’s career from his 1969 self-titled album to his final album, Blackstar , along with many of the world’s most famous voices for a very special experience with performances from Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), William Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), Gary Oldman, Gavin Rossdale (Bush), Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction), Joe Elliott (Def Leppard), Grammy-winning singer Macy Gray, Ian Astbury (The Cult), Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Bernard Fowler (Rolling Stones), Corey Glover (Living Color), Tony-winning rocker Lena Hall, vocal phenom Judith Hill (Grammy winner for 20 Feet From Stardom ), and many more to be announced.
