Como cada año, ha llegado la lista de las y los nominados a los Premios MTV VMAs 2021, que se llevarán a cabo frente a una audiencia en vivo el 12 de septiembre, en el Barclays Center de Brooklyn, Nueva York.
Tras la edición de 2020, donde no acudió público debido a las restricciones de la pandemia, MTV ha anunciado que en este 2021 volverán con las pilas cargadas y con actuaciones en vivo.
Justin Bieber lidera el campo con siete nominaciones, y Megan Thee Stallion sigue en la lista con seis. Billie Eilish, BTS, Doja Cat, Drake, Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Nas X y más también se encuentran entre los nominados de este año.
Para celebrar el 40 aniversario de MTV, el retratista estadounidense conocido por sus pinturas altamente naturalistas de afroamericanos, Kehinde Wiley, diseñó el trofeo “Moon Person”.
